Ahti came to DJR with a magnitude of experience in international sustainable architecture and landscape design. After graduating from RISD, Ahti, along with two classmates, started their own design studio in Beijing, China. Ahti had previously worked in Cambodia as an on-the-ground field architect, developing regional planning and park management programs. Ahti continues this international push at DJR, spear-heading projects in both Djibouti and Ghana. Ahti’s immense vision and no boundaries design sets the pace for DJR to become an internationally recognized firm.
Ahti is currently designing a sustainable landscape utilizing water preservation and native pollinator plantings at his home and trying out new fermentation recipes utilizing vegetables from his garden.
