What Ryan enjoys about architectural design is the creative use of technical knowledge applied to how a building is put together and functions. Ryan is involved in the entire process of a project from the development of early concepts to final construction drawings, and also works with the contractors during construction. Ryan has been with DJR since 2015, primarily working on multi-family and mixed-use projects within the Twin Cities. In the office, Ryan is part of the DJR Revit committee which develops and advances office drawing standards. Ryan also contributes to office training meetings by presenting current construction issues, research, and resolutions.
Outside of work, Ryan designs and builds furniture in his home workshop, modernizes his 100-year-old house, and spends quality time with his wife, son, and rescued pit bull.
