COMMONS PLAZA

Commons Plaza anchors the northeast corner of Radio Drive & Tamarack Road in Woodbury. The plaza serves as a gateway to the regional shopping district for northbound traffic, as well as an entrance to the residential areas to the east. It includes three buildings, one featuring a drive-through restaurant, as well as various landscaping features throughout the development. Brick and natural stone were selected to compliment the material palette of the surrounding commercial context. Metal panels accent the design. Where the user interacts with the building, large storefront windows and wood-textured metal canopies are used to invite people into the retail spaces. Infiltration ponds manage water runoff from the buildings and the parking lot while add greenery to the site.
